Gloriously Green

A bright green grasshopper, with black patterned wings, in my garden yesterday

I tried to identify above grasshopper via the Internet but was unsuccessful. However, I was thrilled to spot this vivid creature on a sisal plant  under my bedroom window and to practice my super macro photography on it.

  2. Marvellous capture, Jo! We also get very excited whenever any new visitor appears in our garden and having a macrolens for these occasions just makes the moment even more memorable :)

I tried out Bill's wide angle lens in the garden this week to do a post on leaf litter, but I will need to practise a lot more as I have successfully distorted everything...you can see the post...it's up...feel free to give me any advice you can think of, please! :)

    Big hug,

  6. I like this photo, Jo. I wonder if the insect is trying to hide against the green. :)
